With 7 billion people on this planet we need to, amongst a whole bunch of things, reduce our personal footprints.
In our home we are proud to announce that we have :-
* Fitted energy saving globes to all lights
* Have fitted water saving showerheads to all showers
* Have fitted water saving devices to all cisterns
* Have fitted a gas hob
* Have fitted a solar geyser
* We recycle - plastic, paper, tins and glass. Our landfill destined refuse is minimal.
* We recycle organic waste in our worm farm, generating organic fertilizer
* In the past 12 years we have only planted indigenous trees
* With all of this and a monthly contribution to Food and Trees for Africa, the Lavery household is carbon neutral!
